Kitchen Supervisor

Daytime Kitchen | Leadership Role | Growth Opportunity

About A Taste of Britain
We’re not a simple tea room — for over 30 years in Wayne, PA, A Taste of Britain has built a reputation for fresh, seasonal menus, warm hospitality, and a full-service kitchen that delivers standout salads, soups, sandwiches, frittatas, and elegant British-inspired specialties. As we expand, we’re growing our leadership team — and we want a kitchen leader who takes pride in excellence, consistency, and teamwork.

Position Overview
As Kitchen Supervisor, you will play a key leadership role, helping shape daily operations, coaching our cooks, and ensuring every dish reflects our standards of quality, presentation, and efficiency. This is a hands-on role with room for impact, growth, and pride in what we deliver.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations during your shifts

  • Ensure prep, station setup, and line execution always meet ATOB quality and consistency

  • Delegate and verify duties (prep, line, cleaning) and ensure accountability

  • Coach, mentor, and train kitchen staff — recipes, technique, food safety, organization

  • Coordinate with FOH leadership for smooth service flow

  • Monitor food quality, portioning, cost control, and plating presentation

  • Assist with ordering, inventory, vendor management, and product rotation

  • Enforce sanitation, labeling, and food safety rules rigorously

  • Lead by example — professionalism, composure under pressure, and hands-on involvement

  • Use and refine kitchen systems, checklists, SOPs, and standards

  • Embody ATOB’s core values: Integrity, Excellence, Hospitality, Accountability, Joy

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role in a restaurant or similar environment

  • Solid grasp of kitchen operations, prep planning, workflow, and food safety

  • Strong leadership, clear communication, and delegation skills

  • Ability to stay calm and accurate under high-pressure conditions

  • Basic tech comfort (scheduling software, POS/inventory tools) is a plus

  • ServSafe or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • A positive, proactive mindset and commitment to teamwork and hospitality

Why This Is a Great Role

  • Daytime hours, stable schedule — No late nights (or very limited)

  • Real full-service kitchen — not a simple tea-only concept

  • Creative influence — Opportunity to help shape menus, events, seasonal specials

  • Supportive, growth-minded culture — We invest in our leaders

  • Benefits, perks & growth path — health options, development, internal promotions

  • Employee discounts & free parking

  • Be part of a beloved brand in the community and help lead our next chapter
