A Taste of Britain is looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented Kitchen Porter / Dishwasher to support our  team in providing an exceptional afternoon tea experience. This position is a great "foot in the door" position which often leads to promotion and advancement within our company. 

 

As a Kitchen Porter at A Taste of Britain, you will play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen. This position is vital to ensuring our restaurant operates smoothly while delivering exceptional service to our guests.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with food preparation and ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and sanitized.

• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment, mopping floors, wiping down walls, etc.

• Support chefs by organizing ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.

• Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.

• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

• Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during service hours.

 

What We’re Looking For

• A positive attitude

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.

• Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and take direction.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

• Attention to detail regarding cleanliness and food safety standards.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs

• Able to work weekends and some holidays.
